Wednesday met other people through her travels to investigate the strange happenings at and around the school. While some of them appeared more than others, a few supporting characters were total scene stealers. Despite how captivating Wednesday was, fans were enamored with these side characters every time they were on screen.

/10Larissa Weems Dominated Every Room

Larissa Weems, one of the most powerful characters in Wednesday, was secondary to the core focus of the show, which was the students. The principal at Nevermore Academy was firm but fair, and students seemed to like her even if they didn’t always agree with her decisions.

In every scene, it wasn’t just Larissa’s tall stature that made her stand out. She became an authority figure and protector for Wednesday, even while feeling disdain for Morticia. This disdain, which fans could feel in every scene as she gritted her teeth, sometimes transferred to her old friend’s daughter. This always made fans curious to see how Larissa would react when Wednesday found herself in the middle of trouble yet again.

9/10Dr. Valerie Kinbott Was Cheery Yet Mysterious

Dr. Valerie Kinbott was so upbeat and cheery, yet she was also able to tap into the darkest sides of her patients as a therapist. She constantly had fans guessing each time she was on screen, as she is often seen in the background of pivotal scenes doing something questionable.

Throughout Wednesday, there was a mystery surrounding Dr. Kinbott. Due to Wednesday’s initial suspicions and the way Kinbott handled Wednesday’s pessimistic attitude, fans glued to the screens whenever she appeared, hanging on her every word and searching for clues.

8/10Thing Was The Most Expressive CharacterThing on a typewriter box in Netflix's Wednesday.

Thing wasn’t an entire person but rather a sentient, disembodied hand who could communicate through his own strange movements and expressive form of sign language. Fans loved seeing how well Thing could get his messages across through hand gestures, pointing, or even mimicking different movements to describe situations.

Thing was often there to save the day. He used a “five-finger discount” to get Wednesday a pretty dress for the dance and was able to free Xavier from the back of the police car, so he quickly became a fan favorite. Viewers could not wait to see Thing appear in a scene.

7/10Marilyn Thornhill Was Clearly Hiding SomethingChristina Ricci as Ms. Thornhill in Netflix's Wednesday.

Part of the first season’s big twist, Marilyn was a seemingly sweet botany teacher and dorm mom at Nevermore Academy. Even if she was one of the most likable characters on Wednesday, fans were always suspicious that there was more than meets the eye with her.

The character was played by Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in The Addams Family and Addams Family Values movies from the ‘90s. Marilyn was clearly hiding something, and fans wanted to know what. Each time she came on screen, fans wondered if something else would be revealed about her true motivations for being with the outcasts.

6/10Eugene Ottinger Was The Lovable NerdMoosa Mostafa as Wednesday's friend, Eugene

Eugene came and went in scenes as he befriended Wednesday, attempted to declare his love to Enid, and tried to explore a mysterious cave on his own. However, he ended up hospitalized and severely injured.

Eugene was the resident “nerd” at school who didn’t have many friends aside from his bees, which he had the power to control. Still, he was the lovable, innocent friend who Wednesday liked, which was unusual for her. The fact that he was able to soften Wednesday made him one of the most likable characters and a scene stealer, merely for his ability to bring out the best in Wednesday.

5/10Pugsley Addams Was So RelatablePugsley on Wednesday Netflix, stuffed in a locker and tied up with an apple in his mouth.

Pugsley only appeared in the first episode, and once more in another episode when the family came to visit Wednesday at Nevermore. Still, it was his opening scene that kicked off the tone and plot of Wednesday. He perfectly captured the personality of an awkward, misfit high schooler who was being bullied and taunted by his peers.

With some fans speculating that Pugsley could join Wednesday at Nevermore Academy in Season 2, that made his scenes even more enticing. While he still has a lot more personality to show, Pugsley set the stage for the new Wednesday, and fans were all for it.

4/10Bianca Barclay Had Serious Siren PowersWednesday's Joy Sunday's Bianca Barclay and Johnna Dias Watson's Divina in purple school uniforms.

It wasn’t just Bianca’s bright and mesmerizing eyes that had fans instantly drawn to her, as she was also one of the most fascinating magical beings in Wednesday. The siren was Nevermore’s top student who felt threatened as soon as Wednesday arrived. Her character arc, going from arch enemy to friend, kept fans curious about where the story would go with Bianca.

From her fencing scene with Wednesday to her troubled conversations with Xavier, which dealt with her love for him and her hurt feelings, all eyes were on Bianca in every scene she was in. Fans would love to see more of her backstory in the next season.

3/10Gomez Addams Was Lively And AnimatedGomez Addams in Wednesday, looking scared.

Gomez, the patriarch of the Addams family, was lively and animated, except when he faced a dire situation. He doted over his only daughter, and fans loved seeing their interactions. Fans especially loved the morbid nicknames he had for her, which were always creative and strange, like “my little death trap” and “my little storm cloud.”

Luis Guzman’s performance as the present-day Gomez was a scene-stealer. Additionally, Lucius Hoyos managed to steal the show when he appeared as the young Gomez in the flashback scenes.

2/10Morticia Addams Shone Like A SpotlightCatherine Zeta-Jones as Wednesday's mother, Morticia, in Wednesday.

Catherine Zeta-Jones is an accomplished Hollywood actor. So, it’s no surprise that she brought a revived, more modern angle to Morticia. Fans loved seeing her interactions with Wednesday, even if they cringed at her overt public displays of affection with her husband Gomez.

Just as the character did when she attended Nevermore Academy as a teenager, Morticia stole the spotlight whenever she graced the school with her presence. It was clear based on Larissa’s reactions, for example, that Morticia always captured the attention of everyone in the room when she walked in. As such, one of the things fans want to see in Wednesday Season 2 is Morticia take over as principal at the school.

1/10Fester Was The Perfect FoilUncle Fester in Netflix's Wednesday, smiling creepily.

Saturday Night Live alum Fred Armisen took on the massive role of Uncle Fester, who only appeared toward the end of the first season. He was excellent in the role, even shaving his head to portray the bald uncle.

Appearing in the penultimate episode, Fester was quirky and impulsive, much like his niece. Drawing on performances by others who have played Uncle Fester in the past, including Christopher Lloyd and Jackie Coogan, fans were excited to see the iconic character on screen with a modern twist.
