Lil Wayne gave $200,000 to rebuild a New Orleans park following Katrina in 2005. Weezy gave because he played in the park as a kid and hoped it would inspire future musicians.

Wayne filmed a “Ball” music video with T.I. in this park in 2012.

More than a mil lion people were rendered homeless and over 300,000 people died in the 2010 Haiti earthquake. On the charity song “We Are The World 25 For Haiti,” Lil Wayne performed.

The 1985 song “We Are the World” was remade for Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie’s charity record, which was released on February 12, 2010. The single was promoted in the music video up above.

“We Are The World 25 For Haiti” features Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, Barbra Streisand, Pink, Celine Dion, Justin Bieber, Enrique Iglesias, and forty more artists. Lil Wayne gave Ronda Austin’s mother Evelyn a Quantum 6000 wheelchair in 2010. For the song, Weezy recorded Bob Dylan’s “We Are The World” vocals, which he later made fun of in an interview. Through Ronda’s letters at Rikers, Weezy got to know her.

Ronda wrote these letters to Wayne about her fandom and family. Then Tune called to offer to help her and her father get a wheelchair for Evelyn.

Every year, turkeys for Thanksgiving are distributed.

Every year, Lil Wayne and Cash Mo ney Records in New Orleans provide free Thanksgiving turkeys to the community. Weezy and the CMB crew give 1,000 turkeys to city families for the holidays.

Open New Orleans TRUKSTOP Skate Park

On September 26, 2012, Lil Wayne and Mountain Dew established a skate park in Lower 9th Ward Village, New Orleans. Weezy developed this skate park there because it was one of the worst Katrina-affected neighbourhoods in 2005.

Tie My Hands Saved Soldier

Lander Chappell stepped on an IED while clearing a route in Afghanistan. He was losing bl.,o,od,, his leg, and consciousness.

One of Lander’s m…e.n asked him to sing his favourite song while waiting for doctors. Before help arrived, Chappell and Thicke sang “Tie My Hands” by Lil Wayne.

Lander Chappell gives thanks to his soldier comrade and Lil Wayne’s song “Tie My Hands” for saving his life. I was saved in Afghanistan by stepping on an IED. The tunes are motivating.

Benefit Show in Arizona

Lil Wayne gave a performance at a Carter Fund benefit in Phoenix on September 3, 2013. The Carter Fund, which offers after-school programming to US youngsters, received all performance earnings.
