LeBron James flames his haters on an Instagram post after dropping 35 points vs Portland

On Friday night, LeBron James scored 35 points while leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a victory over the Portland Trailblazers. James is still going strong in his 38th NBA season. As he just did on Instagram, LeBron continues to “prove his haters and doubters wrong” whenever he has the chance, despite the fact that he currently has nothing to prove in his career.

Instagram: LeBron slams his detractors

The following is a caption that LeBron put up with an Instagram story on Friday, addressing his haters:

On the other hand, I came here solely to film. That must have been your intention, didn’t it?!His detractors, who said that LeBron was merely “chasing the bag” after signing with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018, are obviously the target of this remark.

LeBron’s performance thus farAveraging 33.9 minutes per game, 25.5 points per game, 8.3 rebounds per game, 6.3 assists per game, and 1.6 assists per game, LeBron James—the oldest active player in the NBA—has played in 12 games this season.

In two of his previous three games for the Lakers, he has scored 30 or more points; on November 10, he scored 32 against the Phoenix Suns.

LeBron James In Running For In-Season Tournament MVP

The great Michael Jordan. Mohamed Abdul-Jabbar. Chamberlain, Wilt. While each of these guys has merit in the discussion of who the greatest NBA player of all time is, they do share a common denominator. They can all honestly sаy they were never named NBA In-Season Tournament Most Valuable Player. So, if all works out, LeBron James can present his case for greatest of all time (GOAT) in a month. Truthfully, LeBron is presenting a strong case to be named the In-Season Tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Matthew Peterson’s most recent rankings on NBA.com had the four-time MVP sitting in third place for the award, behind only Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers and Domantas Sabonis of the Sacramento Kings. In three games played thus far in the tournament’s group round, the 19-time All-Star has been sensational, averaging 27.7 points, 8.3 boards, and 7.0 assists per game.

Thanks to the efforts of the NBA’s all-time top scorer, the Los Angeles Lakers are 3-0 in tournament play and hold the first-place point differential in the league after three games, with a 42-point advantage over their opponents. Even though hardly everyone is paying attention, James and the Lakers have shown that they know this tournament is big deal. With a victory over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, the Lakers can secure their place in the elimination rounds and maintain their lead in West Group A.

If the Lakers can go beyond the first round and into the second, they will have a fantastic chance of winning it all in Las Vegas. There is an inherent motivation to win these matches because all of them (up until the final) contribute to the regular-season standings. With an unbeaten Tournament record, though, the potential first ballot Hall of Famer would certainly be considered for MVP honors, and LeBron and the Lakers have appeared particularly motivated during the games.

Even if the discussion over who is the greatest of all time—Jordan versus LeBron—may go on forever, LeBron is getting closer to an honor that even Air Jordan could never equal.
