Our brief commenced with discussions of simply replacing the front fence.
The design process that ensued encouraged a far more all-encompassing approach, involving a complete reformation of the home’s front welcome mat and entry garden.
Anchored by key site features and the eclectic Spanish flair of the residence, the new boundary wall frames a formerly unused entry portal to the home and serenades the adjoining street with playful curves that dip down to create an informal step up to the house from the driveway. The double skin brickwork speaks outwardly to its adjoining neigbours whilst inwardly celebrating the heritage of the residence.
Coreten steel holds levels and provides a perch for layered plantings. Foliage speaks to the textures and tones of its surrounds; softening, providing accents and screening where called for.
