But Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham proved that things are all well and good in their five-year long relationship as they stepped out together for a night out in Malibu on Sunday.
British model Rosie, 28, drew attention to her flawless legs as she dressed to impress for the dinner date at popular eatery Nobu.

The leggy stunner clad her perfect pins in a pair of skintight black skinny jeans, highlighting her slender, toned thighs, not an extra ounce of flesh on them.
And she added a decidedly rock chick and almost Kate Moss-inspired edge to her ensemble as she threw on a leopard print biker jacket over the top of a skinny black t-shirt.
Keeping her look firmly in 2015, she wore a chic wide black choker around her neck, and finished off the outfit with a pair of towering black ankle boots and a pair of shades.
The blonde beauty wore her mid-length locks in an effortless swept-up style, slightly messy but perfectly done.

The Burberry model’s long-term boyfriend Jason, 48, dressed far more casually for their evening at the popular restaurant.
The rugged British actor kept it simple in blue jeans and trainers teamed with a zipped-up hooded sweater and shades, like his lovely lady.
The smitten pair – who have been an item since 2010 – appeared in a jovial mood as they waited outside the restaurant, chatting with pals as they waited to go inside.
Earlier in the day, they had gone along to the beach to enjoy the sunshine, and Rosie shared a striking photograph against the backdrop of the sea and crystal clear sky.
Along with the snap, which saw her stretching her modelling muscles as she gazed off into the distance, she wrote: ‘Winter Sun #Malibu.’

Rosie and Jason have been one of Hollywood’s most enduring and elusive couples, consistently putting on strong romantic displays when heading out together.
The UK couple are based in Los Angeles, but Rosie recently admitted in an interview on Radio 1’s Breakfast Show, during one of her frequent trips back home to the UK, that she’s surrounded herself with Brits Stateside.
‘I’m quite conscious of ever sounding American, and sometimes you do pick up little things they would say,’ she told host Nick Grimshaw.
‘But it helps living with a Brit. Most of my mates in LA are British, or European. You stick together.’
